What are Psychometric Tests?
Psychometric tests are standardized assessments used to evaluate individuals' cognitive abilities, personality traits, and behavioral tendencies. These tests are often used in recruitment processes, career counseling, and personal development plans. There are two primary categories that they fall into: aptitude tests and personality tests.
Aptitude Tests : These tests measure specific skills or abilities, such as numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning, logical reasoning, and spatial awareness. They are designed to assess how well a person can perform certain tasks or react to different scenarios.
Personality Tests : These tests evaluate various aspects of a person's character, such as their motivation, preferences, values, and interpersonal skills. Commonly used personality assessments include the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), the Big Five Personality Traits, and the DISC profile.
